About

EagleStone is a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), which necessitates a fiduciary obligation to our clients. As an SEC RIA and its related fiduciary obligation, EagleStone is required to provide independent and objective non-proprietary advisory services in the best interest of our clients.

Through our independence, we are not beholden to a limited universe of proprietary investment choices. Instead, we have a vast array of investment selections available, including private investment funds, non-traded REITS, 1031 DSTs, tax-incentivized investment vehicles, and structured and variable annuities.

EagleStone provides a customized portfolio to each client, specific to their investment goals and objectives while considering risk tolerance and investment time horizon. Our clients potentially benefit from the following:

  • Unique access to fund managers, no load, no commission, no transaction fee funds as well as access to alternative strategies (such as hedge funds, private credit investments, direct participation programs, and options strategies).
  • Research, educational tools, and technology, all of which serve to effectively manage clients’ portfolios, diversify risk, increase knowledge base, enhance the client experience and improve communication.
  • A team of diligent, dedicated and committed professionals who have managed wealth successfully for several decades and through periods of market volatility.
  • Highly competitive fee structure.
  • Complete transparency through detailed quarterly performance reports and custodian-issued monthly account statements from independent third-party sources.

We believe that planning for financial success includes applying core investment principles of portfolio diversification, risk management and disciplined long-term investing. Therefore, when recommending an asset allocation strategy, we carefully consider a combination of both the client’s tolerance for risk and the amount of time available to invest the portfolio.

Investment Philosophy

EagleStone follows Modern Portfolio Theory, which quantifies risk and mathematically explains why and how portfolio diversification works to reduce volatility and/or increase investment returns. This Nobel Prize-winning philosophy recognizes the importance of the inter-relationships among asset classes within an overall investment portfolio and profoundly shapes how institutional portfolios are managed to optimize market risk against expected return.

The Fiduciary Standard

Our status as an independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and its requisite fiduciary obligation is at the core of our organization. Registered Investment Advisors are bound to the higher Fiduciary Standard requiring investment advisors to act in the best interest of the client and put the client’s interest ahead of its own. EagleStone Tax & Wealth Advisors is proud of its status as a Registered Investment Advisor in upholding the Fiduciary Standard.

How We Work With You

  • Schedule an Exploratory Meeting: Our initial exploratory meeting will address your unique financial circumstances, focusing on your investment goals, expectations, and concerns. In addition, we will discuss your existing advisor or investment management relationships, if applicable, and identify what has worked well and areas for improvement.
  • Develop Your Strategy: Then, we will develop an individual strategy reflecting your growth objectives, overall risk tolerance and income needs. We will address a wide range of issues such as asset allocation, tax efficiency, stock concentration, equity compensation, insurance needs, and retirement goals.
  • Coordinate with Your Advisors: We’ll coordinate with your professional advisors — lawyers, accountants, and others — to ensure that we are collectively addressing your personal financial goals in the most efficient manner.
  • Show You a Plan: We’ll show you what a potentially actionable investment plan might look like and try to plan for those unexpected life events that may arise in the future
  • Implement Your Plan: We’ll work with you to implement your mutually agreed upon investment plan and meet with you to update and monitor it over time.
  • Review Our Performance: How is it working for you? We provide performance reports on a quarterly basis and will hold regular meetings or calls to apprise you of how your accounts are performing and then incorporate changes as needed. While we stay in touch throughout the year, we will plan to sit down with you in person to review your account to make sure you are on track, achieving your objectives, and comfortable with your investment choices. Our doors are always open if you ever have any questions or would like to initiate a meeting to discuss anything that is on your mind.
  • Expand the Discussion: Our broad financial consulting expertise allows us to provide guidance to you on a range of personal financial decisions. As both accomplished financial advisors and tax professionals, we offer clients an integrated total financial solution that focuses on wealth accumulation, asset protection and risk management.
