Serving Our Community
We are dedicated to making positive and productive contributions to the community and society in which we live and conduct our business. While we wish we could support all of the charities that are important to us, we have chosen to focus our efforts on our community’s youth: their health, their education, their emotional and physical well-being so that they, too, can be productive members of society as they grow from child to adolescent to adult. Please take a moment to read a little about a few of our charity partners and visit their websites to learn more.
Olney Theatre Center
The Olney Theatre Center is an award winning regional theater located in Montgomery County, MD. With four theaters on their campus, Olney Theatre Center is able to offer a wide range of professional productions year round that cater to any and all interests in the arts.
With their diverse performances and audiences, the theater plays a dynamic role in cultural knowledge and appreciation in the community. Olney Theatre Center strives everyday to unleash the creative potential of their artists and audiences and, in doing so, became Maryland’s premier center for theatre performance and education.
EagleStone CEO, James Warring, has been on the Board of Directors for the Olney Theatre Center for nearly a year now. He has been instrumental in raising funds for the organization at company sponsored events; and is always striving to get more traffic into the theater and promote cultural diversity in the community.
Alongside the Board of Directors for the Olney Theatre Center, James Warring traveled to London to experience, on a larger scale, the culture of theatre in the world around us. Click here to read about the experience.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)
CASA of Montgomery County is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to advocate for the timely placement of abused and neglected children in safe, permanent homes and for the highest quality of their care while they are under the court’s jurisdiction.
This mission is accomplished through the recruitment, training and on-going support and supervision of volunteers from the community who are appointed by the Juvenile Court judges to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates for these children. CASA Volunteers serve as voices for one of our most vulnerable populations – abused and neglected children.
Recipient of The Washington Post’s 2012 Award for Excellence in Non-profit Management (honorable mention), Imagination Stage is the largest and most respected multi-disciplinary theatre arts organization for young people in the Mid-Atlantic region. We offer a year-round season of professional shows (adult actors performing for families and classes), after-school programs and summer camps for ages 1-18, and arts-integration professional development training for teachers, students, schools, and families. All of our programs are informed by our core belief in making the arts inclusive and accessible to all children, regardless of their physical, cognitive, or financial status.
